Como Grow A Row

A lush vegetable and flower garden fills the frame, with raised beds, leafy tomato plants, herbs, flowering perennials, and a large container of purple petunias in the foreground. A soft dark green gradient overlays the bottom of the image, and large white serif text across the center reads, "GROW ONE EXTRA ROW." The banner has a calm, inviting feel and promotes growing additional produce to share with neighbors in need.

Join Como Park Lutheran Church, the Como Community Seed Library and our Como Park neighbors for our 4th year of the Como Grow-a-Row initiative. The idea is simple, whether you have a garden bed or a single container, plant a little extra this season and share your harvest with local organizations fighting food insecurity; Keystone Community Services and Peace House Community both accept fresh produce. Last year our collective efforts resulted in over 2500 lbs. of fresh, locally grown produce being donated to local organizations!

How to Participate:

• Stop by the Como Grow a Row table in CPLC’s Narthex to sign up or Sign Up Here.
• Choose what produce you would like to grow and donate.
• Free seeds are available at the table in CPLC’s Narthex, and at some little free seed library locations.
• Track your progress and share your pictures with us via social media with the hashtag #ComoGrowARow.
• Donate your harvest. If you need help delivering your produce, contact Sue@comoparklutheran.org or 651-646-7127 Ext. 2203.
